Tweet-ish question. Is "Oriental" Offensive?

I'm just really curious. Sometimes I refer to Asians as Orientals, and mixed people as Mulattos [ooh, Larry Davidism] because that's how I was raised. In Spanish it would be really weird to call an Asian -> Asiático instead of Oriental, or a mixed person Mezclado in place of Mulatto.
